The First Stage of ICSI Treatment
After a male is determined to have a certain sperm issue, the doctor might recommend the couple engage in ICSI treatment to try to conceive a child. During the first stage of ICSI Treatment a women is given GnRH through injection or by administering a nasal spray. This ceases the ovary’s normal activity temporarily so that ovulation does not occur when the ovaries are stimulated. Some of the side effects the woman might experience include hot flashes, mood swings and headaches. The treatment is given for around two weeks than an ultrasound is performed to make sure the ovaries aren’t active.
